My name is Wale Aliyu, and I’m the evening anchor at ABC 10 News San Diego! (See bio). At heart, I am a journalist, writer, and storyteller. I have worked in newsrooms since my freshman year of high school. Since then I have worked several jobs from production assistant to photographer/editor to producer to multimedia reporter to anchor.
I multitask on a daily basis, working on several projects under the tightest of deadlines. I hold myself accountable for every story I tell in my shooting, editing, and reporting. Whether I’m knocking on every door my clock allows or chatting with officials in the highest positions, I love people; I love talking to them and I love telling their stories. I also love to find creative, out-of-the-box ways to tell those stories and strive to perform demonstrative and interactive live shots and stand-ups on every story even when I would shoot my own stories.
